Every day during lunch until Sept. 8, the Pioneer Valley High School Student Council will accept cash donations to support Texans displaced by Hurricane Harvey.
Students will play music on Pioneer Valleyās stage during lunch, according to a school district press release. Each class will have a designated donation bucket, and the class with the most donations will receive an award.
All money, according to the release, will be donated to All Hands Volunteer, a nonprofit that gives 95 percent of its donations directly to those affected. All Hands Volunteer was reportedly the first organization with responders on the ground in Texas, the release said, and it continues to work closely with people in need.
Check donations will not be accepted. More information is available at 922-1305.
