Chrysler will not survive if it becomes part of Fiat and the UAW. When I purchased my new Dodge truck in 2006 it was then Daimler/Chrysler. That is Mercedes Benz. They invented the automobile and the diesel car and truck. My truck had Mercedes and German technology.

After three years, I have had no problems, and it is an excellent vehicle that delivers 21 miles per gallon. The Crossfire by Chrysler was built on an E Class Mercedes frame. It’s one of the best cars in the world. I will never buy a vehicle made by Fiat/Chrysler. We had Fiats in the ’70s and ’80s—all were junk. Alfa Romeo is not much better. GM is going under because they are not producing vehicles that are accepted in the world market. Ford, on the other hand, will come back to life because of what it does in the world market. It produces a Ford Fiesta diesel sedan that gets 65 MPG, and other small diesel trucks and vans. In Australia, Ford produces a line of vehicles that run on natural gas. Our government—California’s in particular—has mandated diesel as a health hazard. This clean diesel technology accounts for more than 70 percent of all vehicles sold in Europe and has led to our
big three’s demise.

My diesel Mercedes is good for at least 300K, and to date it has 90K. There are no vehicles produced in this country that I want or that I will purchase in the near future.

Good luck with your politically correct cars, UAW.
