

Current Allan Hancock College students interested in studying in far-off destinations this summer or fall are encouraged to attend an orientation on Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the collegeās Santa Maria Campus.
Summer programs are open to a limited number of students through the Central Coast Study Abroad Consortium. Participants can go to Spain, France, and Rwanda, as well as a multi-country program in Prague, Berlin, and Paris. A fall program takes students to Chile and Argentina.
The curriculum is designed to complement each country. In Spain and France, students will focus on studying languages. Students traveling to Rwanda will participate in the collegeās new intercultural communication, documentary filmmaking, and volunteer service program. In the multi-country program, students will study screenwriting and film.
In the fall, students traveling to Chile and Argentina will immerse themselves in the Intensive Spanish Language Art and Culture program.
Study Abroad participants pay the regular Allan Hancock College enrollment fee of $20 per unit, in addition to program and travel costs. Scholarships and other financial aid options are available to cover travel and living expenses.
