The Perseid meteor shower will be at its peak between Aug. 10 and 14, and while this is typically the best sky-watching time of the year—at least according to some people—there’s going to be a supermoon on Aug. 10, which will brighten the sky and make meteors a bit more difficult to see. No matter how you slice it, though, it’s a good time to be an astronomer (or at least into awesome celestial events). Get outside on an upcoming night, and look up!
