The Abel Maldonado Community Youth Center will play host to its Teen Boat Regatta on Sept. 13 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Paul Nelson Aquatic Center for teens from 12 to 18 years old.
In this free event, teams will have three hours to construct a boat entirely out of cardboard and duct tape. Then a two-person crew will race their team’s craft across the Olympic-sized pool. Prizes will he handed out for best time, best sink, most spirited, and best decorated.
