I live at the Good Samaritan Emergency Shelter due to some circumstances of bad luck. “Good Sam,” which is located in Santa Maria, is (and has been) a wonderful commodity to this city, county, region, and surrounding areas.
The directors, managers, and staff have what I call a “cathedral of knowledge” readily available to share with those who are in need of an answer. I am included as one who is seeking an answer. Good Sam has answered!
Living on or near the Central Coast of California for nearly two-thirds of my life, I feel very honored and privileged at that fact alone, and the other fact is that I am forever grateful to the Good Samaritan Program.
Managers, supervisors, staff, and volunteers—from the top to bottom, Good Sam has in its employ very educated people who carry understanding, empathy, and are sympathetic to people in need! I personally have been witness to some very urgent and important issues.
So with that I want to say thank you to the people of Good Sam and the people of the Central Coast. To all I say: You rock!
