As you flip through the pages of this edition of the Sun’s annual Best Of issue, you may forget that you—yes, you—are the reason it all happens. Remember: Though the editorial, sales, and design teams work together (and with assorted other amazing employees at the paper) to produce this special publication, we don’t collectively choose the winners. You do.
Each first-place award (and runner-up) in this pullout is here because you—and readers like you—voted. You stepped up and said, “These are my favorites! These are the businesses, restaurants, people, and nonprofits to whom I would hand a trophy, if I had one!”
You’re pretty eloquent, by the way. Well, don’t worry about that trophy. This issue is reward enough. And since you did all the hard work, now’s the time to sit back, relax, and find out how the votes unfolded for 2014. There are some longtime winners here, as well as new names to delight you.
