As the summer began to wind down, one local school received some encouraging news. Pacific Christian School recently reported that 87 percent of its students ranked above the national average on the 2009 Stanford Achievement Test (SAT).
In a release to the media, school administrator Pastor Joe Hunt attributed the scores to a number of factors.
“Our dedicated faculty, low teacher-student ratios, technology, challenging curriculum, special programs, and spiritual context have all contributed to these results,” Hunt said in the release.
School officials hope the good news will help booster declining enrollment numbers, and anticipated net growth by the time school starts on Aug. 25.
Pacific Christian will continue to accept enrollment applications into the school year, until classes are full.
