The Central Coast is a haven for sports and other outdoor activities, and Allan Hancock College is offering classes for people interested in job opportunities in the fields of recreation and hospitality.
The four recreation management classes are: introduction to recreation management; recreation leadership; recreation programming; and recreational sports programming. Several of the classes will be offered at Hancock’s Santa Maria campus for the Fall 2009 semester.
The series is designed to teach basic understanding of recreation management and allow students to transfer credits to any of the 11 California State University campuses that offer bachelor’s degrees in the field.
