The Santa Barbara County Arts Commission has announced the recipients of its Fall 2014 Community Arts Enrichment Grants Cycle. Eighteen of 25 applicants were accepted, with $12,600 awarded in total. The program is possible through a partnership between the Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation and the county Arts Commission.
The monies come from an established arts subsidy fund that takes $0.25 from each Santa Barbara Bowl ticket sold. A panel of county Arts Commissioners, Arts Commission staff, and a Santa Barbara Bowl Foundation member reviewed the grants. The grants are intended to supports artists and arts in cultural organizations that enrich the lives of county residents.
The awarded organizations are made up of local visual and performing arts organizations, including organizations that educate young artists. More information is available at 568-3992 or sbartscommission.org.
