The Allan Hancock College Concert Band will perform its annual Fall Pops Concert on Sept. 30 at Santa Maria’s First Baptist Church. The concert, according to a Hancock press release, will include an eclectic mix of musical selections from “Regal Fanfare” to “Pop and Rock Legends: Elton John.”

The band, under the direction of Greg Stoll, consists of more than 80 members who will play in a standard concert band style configuration with a full percussion section.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. following a pre-concert lecture on the music at 7:15 p.m., according to the release. Tickets, which are on sale now and will be available at the door, cost $10 for general admission; $5 for seniors, Hancock faculty, and students; and free for local junior high and high school band members. Parking will be free for all attendees.
