• Summer Day Camp: The City of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department will hold its Summer Day Camp for youth ages 6 to 12 June 20 through Aug. 12. Eight one-week sessions are at the Minami Community Center, 600 W. Enos Dr. in Santa Maria. Cost is $75 per week per child. • Allan Hancock College Summer Sports Camps: Baseball camp, open to boys ages 6 through 18, runs June 13 to 16 and June 20 to 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $125 for one week, $225 for two weeks, and $75 for each additional family member. Football strength and conditioning camp is June 20 to 30 and July 11 to 21 from 9 to 10 a.m., open to boys ages 8 to 13 at a cost of $80 for eight sessions and $160 for 16 sessions. Basketball camp runs July 11 to 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for grades 7 to 12 and July 18 to 21 from 9 a.m. to noon for grades 2 through 6. The cost for the July 11 to 14 camp is $120, and the July 18 to 21 camp costs $95. • Wine Country Bike Trek: A fundraiser for People Helping People. Riders can sign up for three-day rides through the Santa Ynez Valley (June 24 through 26) or a one-day ride on June 25. Meals and wine will be provided, along with musical entertainment. For a three-day ride, a minimum of $350 in paid pledges is required for adults, and $175 for children 14 and younger.
