I would like to share my appreciation for my 3rd District Supervisor Joan Hartmann and all she has done for our community.Ā

Since taking office, Supervisor Hartmann has kept her promise to be there for Guadalupe and care about our concerns, from providing letters of support for funding for LeRoy Park, to providing recommendationsĀ to Congressman Salud Carbajal for additional LeRoy Park funding. Joan also has board participation on Los Amigos de Guadalupe; provided support with activity promotion, discretionary funding for open streets, discretionary funding for LeRoy Park; participated in tree planting events; updated signage at the Guadalupe Dunes for better visibility (currently working on adding picture signage to reach our broader communities at Rancho Guadalupe Beach); and improved the road to Guadalupe to prevent flooding that kept the park from closing during storms. Ā

Joan also shows her support for funding of behavioral wellness counseling and support through the Guadalupe Community Health Centers of the Central Coast, and PPE and vaccines and testing during COVID-19. Joan and her staff encourage engagement of Guadalupe constituents through board appointments on the Women’s Commission, Arts Commission, the Housing Authority, Assessment Appeals Board, the County Riding and Hiking Trails Advisory Committee, and leadership development recommendations for upcoming community leaders through the local leadership programs as well as approval into the program.Ā

I am very grateful for the work and concern availed by Supervisor Hartmann and her crew since she has taken office and want to make sure our community is aware of how much she really does care and has advocated for our community. It has been great to have open communication with Joan and her district representatives. It is also great that Joan has diverse representatives who work alongside our community, listen, and understand the important issues we face in Guadalupe.Ā

We appreciate you, Supervisor Hartmann!Ā
