Try out for soccer club

The Coastal Valley Soccer Club (CVSC) will be holding several tryouts for potential players in the Central Coast Soccer League (CCSL) and Coast Soccer League (CSL) until March 3.

Open tryouts for boys ages 9 to 17 will be held 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 11, 25, and March 3 at Crossroads Field on College Avenue in Santa Maria. Tryouts for girls will take place from noon to 2 p.m.

Players must be accompanied by an adult to sign a waiver and should bring cleats, shin guards, a soccer ball, and water.

CVSC offers training, fundraising, and facilities for practices and games, and is looking for new coaches and teams to join. The club and individual teams will hold more open tryouts throughout February and March.

For more information, call Al Garcia at 714-3502 or visit the CVSC website at coastalvalleysc.com.
