About:
Santa Cruz's Fainting Goats found common ground among three distinct songwriters when formed in 2003, and in the years since, have continually won new fans with their seemingly unbelievable barrage of "alt pop gems".Drawing comparisons to a wide variety of bands from Guided by Voices to The Beach Boys to Camper Van Beethoven, FG has showcase in some of the better venues around the greater Bay Area, including The Bottom of The Hill (SF), Blakes on Telegraph(Berkeley),The Catalyst(Santa Cruz), Red Devil Lounge(SF), and The Starry Plough (Berkeley) among others. The groups' self-released debut 'Native Sounds of the Golden West' was issued in 2006 to favorable reviews. They're currently working on a follow up slated for early '08 |
