Get ready to brawl at the library!

Santa Maria Valley teens: Do you think you have what it takes to knock everyone else out of the ring? Come to the Santa Maria Public Library to enter and compete in the free Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament on Aug. 3 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Altrusa Theater. Show off your video game skills and try to be the best! If you win, there’s an awesome prize. Light snacks will also be provided.

This video game tournament requires a free ticket for admission. Tickets are available at the youth services desk in the library. Please be aware that only junior high and senior high school students may sign up for this program, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

The library is open from noon to 8 p.m., Mondays through Wednesdays, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays through Saturdays. The library is closed on Sundays.
