A penny saved is a penny earned

That’s where Rabobank comes in, aiding teens in distress. The bank has launched a competition it hopes will inspire teens to save for their future.

The video contest—titled “Lights, Camera, Save!”—is part of the ABA Education Foundation’s “Teach Children to Save” program intended for students in the age bracket of 13 to 16.

“The contest is meant to be fun and exciting, but when all is said and done, we hope teens will take action and live this message, ‘start young, save more,’” regional president Steven Harding said in a press release.

Each video should be about 60 to 90 seconds long and demonstrate why fiscal responsibility is important.

The local Rabobank will be host to the first-level judging process and will submit one winner to compete at the national platform, where prizes include $3,000, $1,500, and $500 in U.S. savings bonds and an iPod Touch.
