Clarifications

• Brian Trautwein wanted to clarify some of his statements regarding the failing pumps at Hilton Creek in the April 17 cover story “Dry flow.” He wrote to the Sun to say that he felt “the problems at Hilton Creek are symbolic of the overall failure of the Cachuma Project to protect steelhead. While the Hilton Creek project operating properly is necessary, it is only one of many necessary steps to recovering steelhead on the Santa Ynez River; efforts should also focus on restoring passage for migrating steelhead to the river above the dam, where the best and most habitat exists.”

• The Sun would like to clarify some information printed in the April 17 Biz Spotlight on Ozzie’s Premium Yogurt and Gelato. The shop’s gelato is made by Leo Leo Gelato in Paso Robles.
