May God have mercyon Annette Funicello

Morro Bay

Scott C. Presnal

In reading about the sad death of Annette Funicello, a former Mouseketeer and actress, due to the complications of MS, it made me realize how important it is now to find a cure to this devastating, life-taking disease.
Annette had progressive multiple sclerosis, meaning that her symptoms kept on coming and became elevated and worse over a long period of time. I also hope that God shows his mercy on this beloved Disney legend, and that she is in heaven no longer suffering MS. (That she accepted Jesus into her heart, before her death.)
MS affects 350,000 Americans in the United States, plus an unknown number in the world, and two-thirds of the sufferers are women. The age in which a male or female can have that disease is between 20 and 50. There are four different types of MS; that I have gathered the facts on my personal computer via the Internet.
In closing, my heart just breaks over Annette Funicello’s death, and we will greatly miss her, but I am hoping that research will be done to treat the other people who have MS, and improve their lives with newfound treatments that can save lives, rather than destroy them.
