Again, the wholesale attack against the National Rifle Association (NRA) is mounting to a fevered pitch. U.S. Rep. Salud Carbajal’s (D-Santa Barbara) recent town hall was filled with cheers denouncing the NRA. Let’s make a couple of things clear. The NRA promotes gun safety and gun ownership rights.
None of the shootings, mass executions, or the daily carnage in major cities have been committed by members of the NRA. Representative Carbajal would do well to align himself with the NRA to accomplish the desires to keep guns out of the hands of people who would not be fit to join the NRA. The nodding heads I saw at the town hall need to educate themselves and apply a little independent thought.
