According to an article published July 12, 2017, by The Denver Post, lawmakers, police, and legal experts believe the marijuana industry is indeed luring transients and criminals to Colorado.

"Some Colorado lawmakers, police, and legal experts partly blame the marijuana industry, claiming that it has lured transients and criminals to the state," the article said.
