Oust the crash-test dummies

Here we go again. A government shutdown is looming. It feels like Groundhog Day 2. According to Congress, partisan politics and posturing are more important than diligent governing. Democracy has evolved into a messy, broken system. Politics is a tug-of-war game, and the people are the rope. We the people need to come up with some helpful solutions.
For instance, stop payment to all politicians. Demand that the politicians pay for all of their health insurance costs. Cut the Defense Department budget by 50 percent. Tax all incomes that are diverted to tax-free havens overseas. Tax all corporations. Our infrastructure needs major funding for the next 20 years, as does our education system.
Congress is incompetent and displays no leadership. The only way that America can move forward responsibly is to empower ourselves and don’t vote! Send these crash-test dummies their pink slips.
