Put the carte before the family
The city of Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department, along with help from PLAY Inc. and OCAF, presents a mobile arts program for youth and families. Art a la Carte features a trailer full of art history equipment, supplies, materials, books, and a speaker or trained artist accompanying the trailer to area parks.
Art a la Carte will be available at Santa Maria parks from April 14 through Oct. 20 on either Saturdays or Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. Locations include Oakley Park on April 14, Preisker Park on May 19, Russell Park on June 23, Waller Park on July 13, Jim May Park on Aug. 25, Grogan Park on Sept. 8, and the Veterans’ Memorial Community Center on Oct. 20.
