Fashion for a cause

The Kiwanis Aktion Club of Santa Maria—with the help of several local business, government, and nonprofit groups—presents “Fashion Aktion,” a benefit fashion show event scheduled for March 24 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Building, 313 W. Tunnel St., Santa Maria.

The event will feature emcees Wendy Thies Sell (who’s also the Sun’s food and wine writer) and Mike Sell, presenting fashions by VTC Thrift Store, VTC Boutique, and Hidden Treasures. The event is co-sponsored by the Noontime Kiwanis, VTC Enterprises, and the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department. The event is also catered by VTC Custom Catering.

Cost for the event is $25, $45 for runway seating, and $350 for a corporate sponsor table of eight. More information is available by contacting Julie Posada at 928-5000, Ext. 138.
