Santa Maria Library holds call for artistsThe city of Santa Maria Public Library has announced its “2013 Gallery Exhibition Call for Artists.” The library shows art year round to promote the cultural wealth of the Central Coast, with exhibitions rotating every month. The goal is to provide the community with a diverse array of media, concepts, and subject matter. The Santa Maria Public Library’s Arts Advisory Committee juries submitted works and selects which artists will show each month in the library’s Shepard Hall. Applications and the library’s exhibit policy are available at the Main Library Circulation Desk, Santa Maria Public Library, 421 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria; the Orcutt Branch Library, 175 S. Broadway, Orcutt; or by e-mailing svoss@ci.santa-maria.ca.us or ci.santa-maria.ca.us/3096-03.shtml.com. The deadline to apply is March 8 at 6 p.m. The committee will unveil its decision in late March. Questions may be directed to Graphics Technician Sara Voss at 925-0951, Ext. 832, or svoss@ci.santa-maria.ca.us. |
