Yes; it's a train wreck.
No; it seems to be working just fine.
I don't know enough about it to say.

Mural honors unsung heroes

The Lompoc Affiliate of Santa Barbara Foundation and the Lompoc Mural Society will partner in presenting 2012’s Mural-in-a-Day project, which will highlight several awarded “unsung heroes” of the Lompoc community through the creation of a public mural. The painting will take place throughout the day on Sept. 15 in Old Town Lompoc.

The mural design honors the recipients of Santa Barbara Foundation’s “Thanks for Caring Award.” This year’s recipients are traditional service clubs of Lompoc, known for their long-time involvement and broad-based service in the community.

Master mural artist David Blodgett of South Bend, Ind., was selected following a lengthy countrywide search and will oversee the completion of his design for the  mural that will adorn one wall of Paulin’s Flooring at North I Street and West Ocean Avenue. The painting will take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., followed by a dedication ceremony.
