Should A.B. 109, the state prison realignment act, be repealed?

Yes; it's a train wreck.
No; it seems to be working just fine.

Fall brings art

The C Gallery is gearing up for fall with a variety of classes and events. The events start with the  Forgotten Sticks art show opening reception from 4  to 6 p.m. on Sept. 8 to celebrate Carol Carbine’s  painting series of weathered and pushed-aside sticks as well as Albert McCurdy’s sculptures from roots  and trunks.

On Sept. 15, a short class on painting and collage on metal leaf will be held. Students of all levels are welcome and will take home their own finished project of a glowing “leafed” canvas. The class costs $95 for the day plus materials.

The C Gallery will wrap up the month on Sept. 21 with a weekend of art-making in collage with Karen Browdy, accompanied by great food, wine, overnight accommodations, and community, Sept. 21, 22, and 23.

Finally, start out October with an intermediate workshop intensive with master landscape painter John MacKah Oct. 5 through 8.
