Art comes alive
Art comes alive on Saturdays at the Town Center Gallery, 321 Town Center West. Children’s art classes are held 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. each week. Upcoming classes include paper mache part two on Sept. 1; watercolors on Sept. 8; drawing cartoon pets on Sept. 15; design with colors mobile on Sept. 22; and drawing monkeys on Sept. 29.
Cost is $10 per session and pre-registration is requested.
The gallery will also host several art demonstrations in the coming weeks. On Sept. 15 from 1 to 2 p.m., Esther Bartlett will demonstrate watercolor painting. On the same day from 2 to 3 p.m. Michael Corob will demonstrate how to use sublimation printing to create finished ceramic tiles from digital images.
Beverly Johnson will lead Saturday silk painting workshops on Sept. 11 and Oct. 29.
Cost is $35 for members and $45 for non-members, plus a $10 materials fee (or bring your own materials).
