Artist submissions wanted for Live OakKCBX is now accepting applications for the official artwork for the 25th annual Live Oak Music Festival, set for June 2013. The artwork will adorn Live Oak Music Festival T-shirts and other merchandise sold at the outdoor concert and camping event that benefits the local public radio station. Artist submissions will be accepted through Friday, Aug. 24, and the selected artist will be notified no later than Sept. 1, with the final approved artwork due by Nov. 1 to KCBX staff. The selected artist will receive a commission, tickets to the festival, and complimentary T-shirts, plus a signing session at the festival. The Live Oak Music Festival takes place Fathers’ Day weekend, Friday through Sunday, June 14 to 16, 2013, at Live Oak Campground. This past June, the festival sold out on Saturday, Sunday, and for the full weekend passes, experiencing record attendance. Interested artists can send sample photos of their work via e-mail to kreynolds@kcbx.org with a one-page bio on themselves, their style of art, and their vision for the festival artwork in particular.
