Hancock holds virtual showcase for fine arts students, Making Marks in Creative Spaces

The Ann Foxworthy Gallery in Santa Maria will present a virtual iteration of its annual student showcase, Making Marks in Creative Spaces, starting on Monday, March 29. This exhibition will celebrate a variety of works from Allan Hancock College’s fine arts students and is scheduled to remain online through Monday, April 5.

This year’s show will specifically highlight artworks created over the past year during the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year’s showcase, held in February 2020, was one of the Ann Foxworthy Gallery’s last in-person exhibitions before closing to the public during the first shutdown in March.

Admission to view this virtual group exhibit will be free, online at hancockcollege.edu/gallery. The gallery’s virtual format is described as best viewed on a desktop computer or laptop in full-screen mode, rather than on a mobile device. Guests of the site can currently view the gallery’s latest virtual exhibit, Woven Narratives, a curated collection of tapestry artworks by Michael F. Rohde, which is slated to remain online through Saturday, May 1.
