Santa Maria hosts 5th District Arts Talks

The Santa Barbara County Arts Commission members and members of the community will meet to discuss arts in Santa Maria for an Arts Talk event scheduled for May 16 at the Minami Community Center.

The talk will be hosted by 5th District Arts Commissioners Doug Jenzen and Dennis Smitherman. Fifth District County Supervisor Steve Lavagnino will also join the talk to discuss arts and culture in Santa Maria.

The Arts Talks program was initiated by the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors to provide the arts and culture communities in each supervisorial district a platform to discuss achievements, challenges, and opportunities unique to its residents. County Arts Commissioners, the Santa Barbara County Office of Arts of Culture, and whenever possible the district’s supervisor, host their community in an open forum for discussion and networking.

This event is free and open to the public. The Minami Community Center is located at 600 W. Enos Drive, Santa Maria.
