Elverhoj Museum hosts Nancy Yaki exhibit

The Roadside Series, a new art exhibition of recent works by artist and art teacher Nancy Yaki, is set to debut at the Elverhoj Museum of History and Art on May 12. A reception is scheduled on opening day from 4 to 6 p.m. and is open to the public.

The exhibit features Saki’s landscape paintings on canvas, which vary in scale from 5 inches to 5 feet. Her works have been published internationally on book covers, calendars, and greeting cards. She has been featured in periodicals such as American Artist and Art in America, and her pieces have also been used in the textbooks Complete Guide to Painting in Acrylics and Acrylic Works—The Best of Acrylic Painting. She has earned numerous awards and honors in national and international shows.

Exhibit programming includes The Business of Art and Social Media, a workshop led by the artist on May 19. Pre-registration is required. An artist demonstration, Editing a Landscape and Stylization, will be held on July 7, and a dialogue with the artist will be held on July 28 with a social hour immediately following.

The exhibition will remain on view through Aug. 12. More info: (805) 686-1211.
