PCPA presents 'The (curious case of the) Watson Intelligence'

Madeleine George's time-jumping play tells the story of four versions of characters named Watson, some based in literature and some in reality. One is the famous sidekick of Sherlock Holmes, one is the assistant who helped build Alexander Graham Bell's first telephone, one is an IBM computer that became a Jeopardy! champion, and one is described as a "techno-dweeb" seeking love.

"These four constant companions become one," according to a release from PCPA. "Weaving through synthetic intimacy, remote connections, and artificial intelligence in this loving tribute and modern cautionary tale, dedicated to the people and machines upon which we all depend."

The play takes place at the Severson Theatre, located at Allan Hancock College, 800 S. College Drive, Santa Maria. Tickets are available at
