Santa Maria Civic Theatre to get new paint job

To celebrate its 60th year in community theater, the Santa Maria Civic Theatre (SMCT) is getting a new paint job, courtesy of a local business.

Santa Maria’s New Life Painting is donating the service as a part of its Pay it Forward program. In a statement sent to local media, Civic Theatre Board President Sally Buchanan thanked the business for the service.

“We at the Santa Maria Civic Theatre are so pleased and privileged to have been chosen by New Life Painting to be a part of their Pay it Forward community program,” Buchanan said. “SMCT is turning 60 and what better way to celebrate a girl’s 60th birthday than with a little nip, tuck, and lift.”

Painting is scheduled to begin Thursday, Feb. 8. The theater is located at 1660 N. McClelland St., Santa Maria. For more information on the theater, call (805) 922-4442. For more information on New Life Painting’s Pay It Forward community program, visit newlifepainting.com/community.
