Charter schools video competition deadline nears

The Center for Education Reform will close the entries for its “Hey John Oliver! Back Off My Charter School” video contest on Sept. 26. The contest was born after John Oliver of HBO’s Last Week Tonight ran a segment criticizing charter schools.

Charter school students, parents, and teachers are welcome to send in informal videos shot on mobile devices expressing support for charter schools. Everyone who turns in a video will have the chance to win $100,000 for their school. More information is available at edreform.com/cer-video-contest/.
