Altrusa Santa Maria awards more than $20,000 in grants

The Altrusa International Foundation, Santa Maria, recently announced the recipients of more than $20,000 in the organization’s annual spring grants cycle. The foundation works to support local community-based organizations through its grants program.

The recipients of the monies include the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Maria Valley Photography program, Bridges to Nations Children’s Camp in Thailand, Central Coast Music Academy Summer program, Community Partners in Caring Volunteer Transportation, Court Appointed Special Advocates Birthday Gift Cards, Friends of the Guadalupe Library Books, GenSpan Foundation Volunteer Mentors, Guadalupe Kids Come First Foundation McKenzie Library Books, Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center Educational program, North County Rape Crisis Child SAFE, Orcutt Children’s Art’s Foundation Arts Attack, PCPA Education and Outreach VTC program, California Reads program, Santa Barbara County Education Office Teachers Network, Santa Maria Civic Theatre Summer Fairy Tales, Santa Maria Elks Mini Rodeo, Santa Maria Valley Philharmonic Society Nutcracker program, Santa Ynez Valley Therapeutic Disabled Riding program, Taylor Elementary School Special Ed. Computer program, the Town Center Gallery Children’s Art program, and a memorial donation to the Santa Maria Police Explorers.
