The Dunes Center celebrates

The Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a special event and several community hikes. The Anniversary Party is May 15 at 6:30 p.m. and will include a food- and beverage-pairing event with all proceeds going to the Dunes Center.

A Family Dunes Hike, in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, will provide access to scenic portions of the wildlife refuge on May 18 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Hikers should bring hiking boots, a hat, sun block, water, a light jacket, a snack, and long pants. The hike begins at the Dunes National Wildlife Refuge at the west end of Oso Flaco Lake Road. More information is available at 343-9151 or dunescenter.org.
