Join the Sisters in Crime
BY JOE PAYNE
Mystery novels are a staple in the literature world, with all of their twists, turns, and clues. A local group of mystery authors, Sisters in Crime, is holding a workshop event featuring talks by several of its members. The Friends of the Santa Maria Public Library are sponsoring the event on April 19 at 10 a.m. in the Santa Maria Public Library’s Shepard Hall, 421 S. McClelland St., Santa Maria.
Authors Tony Piazza, Susan Tuttle, Sue McGinty (née F.N. Meredith), Dianne Emley, and Barbara M. Hodges will participate in the event. They have produced scores of published books, and will speak on writing, getting published, and the mystery genre in general, with a book-signing event afterward.
