Santa Maria Civic Theatre celebrates its 55th season
BY JOE PAYNE
The Santa Maria Civic Theatre is celebrating its 55th season of quality live community theater with a production of Love, Loss, and What I Wore showing Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22 at 7 p.m., and Feb. 23 at 1:30 p.m. at the theater, 1660 N. McClelland St., Santa Maria.
The play is a series of monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes, and memory. We hear from mothers and daughters about prom dresses and buying bras, and women about the purses they love and the ones they hate. The play is written by Nora and Della Ephron and is directed by SMCT veteran Stuart Wenger.
Cost to attend the Civic Theatre is $15, $13 for active military and spouses, $10 for students. More information is available at smct.org or 922-4442.
