Go digital at the library

By JOE PAYNE

The Santa Maria Public Library is offering a new service to the electronically savvy library patron. Zinio Digital Magazines is one of the world’s largest online newsstands. The Black Gold Cooperative Library System has purchased 135 titles to start its digital magazine collection, which is now available to those with a Black Gold library card.

The magazines cover such topics as news, science and technology, sports, travel, lifestyle, entertainment, automotive, art, home, juvenile, young adult, and Spanish. The magazines can be viewed on a computer, smart phone, tablet, or other devices. Users do need to download the Zinio Reader app, have a library card, and create two Zinio accounts.

To get started with Zinio, visit cityofsantamaria.org/210.shtml. More information is available at 925-0951, Ext. 828, or libraryreference@cityofsantamaria.org.
