The forums will feature artistic presentations, with the upcoming program “An Introduction to American Roots Music” scheduled for Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. at the Stone Pine Hall, 210 South H St., in Lompoc. The program is to be led by bluegrass aficionado Bill Carsen, who will discuss the various folk music considered “roots music,” including the styles, places, and storytelling traditions surrounding the art.
