PCPA 'olds auditions for Mary Poppins


The Pacific Conservatory for the Performing Arts is in need of two young actors to play the roles of Jane and Michael Banks, the young children cared for in the play Mary Poppins, as well as young ensemble cast.

Auditions are to be held on Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Columbia Business Center, 900 E. Stowell Road, Santa Maria, behind Costco.

Performers should prepare approximately 60 seconds of a song from a musical with sheet music in the correct key, or a recorded accompaniment on a compact disc. Some performers may be asked to stay and read until 1 p.m.

Rehearsals for Mary Poppins begin Oct. 1 and run Tuesday through Sunday, sometimes going as late as 10:30 p.m. Performances will run Nov. 7 through Dec. 22 of this year.
