Altrusa International, Inc. of the Central Coast will be giving away free children’s and adult books for the annual “Festival of Books” at the Town Center mall to raise awareness and support for literacy in the community.
The event is held on Sundays, including July 14 and 28, and Aug. 11 and 25 from noon to 2 p.m. on the second level of the Santa Maria Town Center. Anyone able to donate gently used books to the “Festival of Books” may do so by contacting Laura Selken at 406-9989.
Altrusa of the Central Coast is part of an international network of community service organizations that supports volunteerism, literacy, and youth, focusing on local areas. More information is available at firstname.lastname@example.org.
